This is an established and highly successful practice with a history spanning over forty years, generating fees of c.$3.9 million accounting and c.$1.1 million financial planning. The two major owners are committed to a smooth transition, remaining in the business for a minimum two- and four-years post-sale, while a 24% financial planning equity holder will retain their stake and continue long term. The practice has built a strong reputation on deep client relationships, timely work, proactive tax planning and integrated financial planning, with consistent growth driven by referrals. Profitability is strong at 42% before major owners' remuneration, and WIP and debtors are very well managed, with lock-up days of just 23. The client base is diverse and longstanding, with no material concentration risk — the top 20 accounting client groups represent just 13% of gross fees. The team is experienced, maintains direct client relationships, and is engaged and thriving in a positive culture.

Growth opportunities include additional capacity to convert ongoing referrals, expansion of business advisory and financial planning services (both with limited competition and current capacity constraints), and scope for a buyer to streamline operations and provide remote support. 

Reason for sale: The two major owners (100% accounting / 76% financial planning) are looking to sell to, a larger firm to facilitate succession planning, enable the delivery of greater value to clients and provide more opportunities for the team.
